Mitar Vranic, D.O., C.W.S.
Dr. Vranic, is the President and founder of Western Vascular Institute. His passion and experience in Vascular Medicine has allowed him to be one of the most innovative and creative vascular surgeons in the valley. He has Board Certification in both Vascular and General Surgery and Wound Care. Dr. Vranic has received the Vascular fellowship at the Arizona Heart Institute and Ohio University in Columbus, Ohio. He has received training in the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society and has gotten certification as a Wound Care Specialist. He is also the Board Examiner of Vascular Surgery, both oral and written for ten years. He has certification in Trauma Ultrasound and Vascular Duplex/Ultrasound/Non-invasive. He has publications in major peer reviewed journals. He serves as the abstract reviewer in the Journal of Vascular Surgery. He teaches as an Assistant Professor at Midwestern University. He is the founder and Director of WVI’s Vascular Cath Lab Educational Program for the training of physicians nationwide.
Henry Tarlian, M.D.
Dr. Tarlian has more than twenty years’ experience in complex vascular medicine. He is a Board Certified General Surgeon. He has dedicated his life to providing excellent patient care along with performing the least invasive and most effective procedures used today. He received the Vascular fellowship at Arizona Heart Institute. Currently he serves as the Clinical Instructor for Continuing Medical Education at Arizona Heart Institute. He is the Director of Educational Program for WVI’s Vein Center at which he trains surgeons throughout the world in the aggressive treatment of venous diseases. He has had publications in major peer reviewed journals. Dr. Tarlian is the Co-founder and Director of the WVI Vascular Catheterization Lab. He also serves as the Chief of Surgery AKDHC. He has certification in Vascular Duplex/Ultrasound/Non-Invasive therapy.
Julio Rodriquez Lopez, M.D.
Dr. Rodriguez is a nationally recognized surgeon who has devoted his life to education, research and teaching. He is a highly skilled surgeon in the aggressive treatment of vascular disease. He received the Vascular fellowship at the Arizona Heart Institute and Phoenix Regional Medical center. He serves as the Director of the Vascular & Endovascular Fellowship Training Program at the Arizona Heart Institute and the Director of Arizona Heart Hospital Wound Center from 1998 to the present day. Dr. Rodriguez is the Instructor of Endovascular Surgery, Intermediate and Advanced Training. He has taught at Midwestern University as an Assistant Professor from 1999 till the present. Dr. Rodriguez has had training in hyperbaric medicine in 1997 at the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. He has authored works in over 80 publications in major peer reviewed journals 1992-2014 along with authoring multiple book chapters.
